A visionary heritage planning company

Heritage Resource Agency, or HRA for short, are heritage consultants specialising in strategic planning for museums, heritage and visitor attractions, leisure developments and cultural projects.

The consultancy grew out of a design practice founded in 1984 by Jon Hall. Between then and 1994 it gained a reputation as one of the leading UK museum design practitioners.

Now the company concentrates on consultancy services, including feasibility appraisal, concept planning, strategic design planning, capital and revenue forecasting, business and financial planning, market appraisal, funding appraisal, programme planning and project management, as applied to all aspects of the leisure and heritage industry.

The company exists to give creative and exciting, yet sound, practical and realistic advice from the earliest stages of development, producing interpretative plans, outline design proposals, liaison with other consultants, capital and revenue forecasts using all the experience gained over more than thirty years in the business.

On select commissions HRA will take the process from design to delivery in collaboration with a team of selected specialist companies providing audio-visual production, fit-out, lighting and bespoke case design.
